FEATURED PROJECT

At RAM Elevators + Lifts, we believe that accessibility should be seamless, stylish, and smart. Proudly engineering cutting-edge platform lifts and elevators, we’re passionate about redefining what’s possible for residential and commercial accessibility solutions. As demand grows for efficient, non-intrusive alternatives to legacy elevator technologies, RAM is leading the charge with innovative lift solutions that offer an affordable, space-conscious, and customizable option for homes and public spaces alike.
Built in North America and trusted across the continent, every RAM lift or elevator installation combines performance with simplicity—eliminating the need for complex shaftways, deep pits, or heavy construction. Whether you’re future-proofing your home, meeting accessibility codes, or creating inclusive commercial environments, our products are engineered to blend in aesthetically while standing out in performance and reliability.

Superior lifts and elevators for residential and commercial spaces.

Uncompromisingly Sophisticated Infill
This home is part of an infill project in a mature central neighourhood. The elevator was added to give homeowners unfettered access while maximizing vertical space. Its understated design and four-stops with three entry points minimizes the product’s footprint while maximizing impact, ushering riders (and their furry friends) from the basement garage all the way to a rooftop deck, stopping in the kitchen, and bedroom levels along the journey.
Accessibility Takes Centre Stage
This commercial elevator is no wallflower. Designed with a staircase wrapping around it, and made fully of glass, riders get a 270 degree view of the stunning golf course that surrounds it. When faced with an accessibility challenge, our client chose to lean-in to the aesthetic potential of our products and created a truly wow-ing experience for those who need, or simple chose to ride in style in this two storey multipurpose building which houses a pro-shop, meeting spaces and a café.
Creating Freedom at Home
After an accident left our client in a wheelchair, he was suddenly cut off from many of the day-to-day aspects of life at home. When his family made the decision to build a new home, the goal was designing a space that allowed everyone to be together in every space. This fully accessible new build includes a discrete three stop elevator that connects the walk-out basement, the main floor living space, and the third floor bedroom space, giving unbridled home freedom to all members of this lovely family.
Accessible Connectivity
Connecting a commercial high-rise with the municipal light rail transit system, this 4-1/2 foot vertical lift was added as a vital connective hub between two spaces. Ease of use, safety, reliability and durability were priorities for this frequently used lift, without compromising the carefully curated aesthetic of the space, or flow of adjacent foot traffic.
Refined Retrofit Capability
When our client renovated a heritage space for their new head office, they faced unique layout considerations that could cause accessibility challenges in reaching the main office space. Looking for a refined solution while integrating with the sophisticated, modern and welcoming corporate entrance aesthetic, the Commercial Stratus fit the bill and gave our client a seamless solution that didn’t break the bank, or look out of place.
French Modern Luxury
This 8,000 square foot newly built private residence is designed to impress and entertain. The elevator was designed to highlight the home’s incredible river valley views with a glass-backed car and shaft, giving riders a breathtaking vista as they ride from the basement sports court and gym to the rooftop hot tub. It’s black, white and marble finishings and custom sliding door fit seamlessly with this modern, youthful, and grand home.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you use a vertical platform lift in the correct and approved manner, which includes observing weight and passenger limitations, it will have the same functionality as an elevator. The only difference between an elevator and a VPL is that an elevator car moves with a single button push, whereas a VPL requires constant pressure on its switch to move the platform.
No! If anything, a vertical platform lift is a much faster, simpler installation with fewer restrictions and space requirements. At RAM, we have engineered our VPL solutions to be flexible, durable, and easy to use, no matter where they are installed. This makes them an excellent low-cost, low-intrusion commitment for renters or short-term mobility restrictions.
In order to meet codes and provide optimum safety for someone using a mobility aid, a ramp may be required to be twenty inches long for every one inch it rises. Using this equation, to access a doorway four feet off the ground, you would need to install a ramp that is eighty feet in length to meet code. These requirements make ramps expensive, unsightly, and impractical in many applications.
Absolutely not. At RAM Elevators, we ensure that all our products are safe and stable under normal working circumstances. Our VPLs are intended for indoor and outdoor use, so we have thoroughly tested them under adverse conditions to ensure they perform as needed, whether they are exposed to water or freezing conditions.
